...though this time it's a bit less of a routine protestation. (Appendicitis, three and a half weeks ago -- apparently the inflammation had begun to spread to the cecum, plus the appendix itself was situated somewhat trickily, and they dropped it as they were removing it...whereupon it burst. But the surgeon said they'd managed to avoid getting any pus in my abdominal cavity.)
Other than that: still married. Still at my "new" job (been there for over a year and a half now, does it really count as "new"?). Did a canal boat tour in England last summer, highly recommended. Still with four cats, though one had to be euthanised due to kidney failure, and another one moved in. (Plus we had one rescuee in our kitchen for three and a half months, Comrade Chairwoman Meow -- she's little and red -- who was rehoused this monday.) Has brewed two batches of beer with luminalflux, both of which produced quite acceptable results. There will probably be more. Now with one less house in France.

So was the surgeon's hopes dashed!
(At some hospitals, the surgeons has informal contests on making the smallest possible incision when removing an appendix Getting slim patients is the first step in winning.)
Any con plans besides London? I'm planning a quick visit to Confetti, but we haven't decided on Swecon yet.
It was still a peephole surgery. I have two centimeter-sized incisions and one maybe 3-4 cm one.
No Confetti - I'd missed it even existing, currently we're trying to handle things on a more day-to-day basis... Swecon maybe for me, I think Gabi is planning on going. London and Eurocon definitely. We'll be doing Dublin a few days before and after the con too.

Yeah, laporascopies are probably regarded as cheating.
No Dublin for us, I think. We're bringing Hulda, and we need to be back when school starts.
See you in Docklands, and Dublin, then.
Yay for being alive! And married! And all that jazz! And the kitties! Boo at the inflamed appendix! Bad appendix!
FYI, Finncon is in my neck of woods this year.
Right, that was it! That was the con we were thinking of going to! Need to book flights an' stuff.
Y'all are welcome to stay at our place again, if you want to! :)
Yay for getting rid of inflamed appendix, boo for appendix being inflamed in the first place. Yay for hearing from you, overall.
Life is plodding along just fine then?
